Delivery and Shipping

We are able and happy to ship our products worldwide, and proudly have customers in the UK, Europe, North America and Australia.
Our rate always includes insurance for the full value of goods, and is inclusive of VAT in the UK.

Outside of the UK, we constantly aim to provide customers with the best rate based on destination, weight, dimensions and recipient type. Prices can vary widely from day-to-day and we appreciate that international rates are often expensive.

We are currently working on a lead time of 8-10 weeks from the payment date. All our cabinets are hand made to order, and some drivers have a long lead time which we try to account for as well.

We have put together the following resources to assist you with the shipping and import process in your region.

UK DELIVERY

For delivery to UK addresses, we offer a standard rate of £70 per pallet. For online purchases, the shipping requirement will be calculated at checkout.

Please feel free to email us for a bespoke quote if you have individual requirements sales@calumaudio.co.uk

EU SHIPPING

Our rates for shipping to the EU are dependent on whether a customer is VAT registered and has an EORI number. For online purchases, we ask for your VAT registration and EORI number at check out.

If these two registrations are present, we can use traditional freight shipping, which is usually a door-to-door service. Crucially, freight shipping is cheaper for the customer. Taxes and duties of the destination country are paid by the customer.

If the customer is not VAT registered and doesn't have an EORI number, we use courier services such as TNT, DPD or Fedex. This service is door to door, but commonly more expensive as only road transport can be used. Taxes and duties of the destination country are paid by the customer.

For more information on EORI registration please see:

WORLDWIDE

Shipping outside of the UK and EU requires a bespoke quote from one of our trusted partners. We use air and sea freight and customers usually receive a door-to-port quote to the nearest port to their home address. Taxes and duties of the destination country are paid by the customer.

How long until my order arrives?

If your order has been shipped in boxes, you will have had an email containing tracking information.

If your order has been sent on a pallet, consider the following transit times. These are transit times from confirmation of order fulfilment, not an ETA from placing an order.

  • UK pallets. 2-4 working days (road freight)
  • EU pallets. 3-7 working days (road freight)
  • USA pallets. 20-30 working days (sea freight)
  • Further afield. Please contact us (road, sea and air freight are available)

Important differences between pallets and parcels

Please be aware that the global freight network operates slightly differently to the standard parcel services you may be used to.

Please remember that a pallet is likely to come on a large lorry. Consider if a lorry can physically access the delivery address you specify.

It's uncommon to be able to track a pallet, and it's hard for us to locate a pallet mid-journey. This is because the freight networks we work with may utilise multiple different companies along a transit route.

It's uncommon to be able to specify a delivery date or time. It's assumed that if something is being sent freight, it's being sent to a commercial receiver that's set up to receive freight during normal working hours. If you are a UK customer, you will usually receive a phone call 2 hours to 30 minutes before delivery is attempted. If you are an EU customer you will have a notification of customs clearance to inform you the pallet is in your country. You should receive a phone call 2 hours to 30 minutes before delivery is attempted. If you are in the USA, your pallet will be routed to a local freight port (unless otherwise agreed). You will be contacted by your local authorities, who will tell you how to collect your pallet.

How soon can I use my new speakers/drivers/amps?

We also strongly recommend taking the time to get used to your new equipment, spending the time to properly acoustically integrate them with the rest of your equipment before your first event.

We very strongly recommend that you wait until you have received your order before booking any events where your new equipment will be used. There are so many factors at play that may delay a shipment, Calum Audio Ltd cannot be held responsible for your event not going ahead.
